Kick-Off Meeting: 3D Smartbox Project
We are pleased to announce the start of the Erasmus+ project, "3D Printing in Education: Improved Student Engagement with Hands-On Learning – 3D Smartbox" (2024-1-AT01-KA220-SCH-000248794). The project will run from December 1, 2024, to November 30, 2026.
The kick-off meeting will take place on January 16-17, 2025, in Klagenfurt, Austria. Hosted by FH Kärnten, this meeting will bring together partners from across Europe:
FH Kärnten (Austria)
Ecece (Austria)
Lumen (Italy)
Akademia WBS (Poland)
Siegen Universität (Germany)
Mindleap (Spain)
The project focuses on the integration of 3D printing technology into education to enhance both teaching and learning experiences. By providing interactive, engaging, and hands-on learning opportunities, 3D printing enables students to bring their ideas to life and develop critical skills such as creativity, problem-solving, and design thinking. It also offers significant potential for cross-curricular applications in subjects such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and art, among others.
An important aspect of the project is teacher training, equipping educators across various disciplines with the skills to integrate 3D printing technology into their lessons effectively. This approach not only improves STEM education but also ensures inclusivity and accessibility, helping to bridge the gender gap in STEM fields.
We look forward to collaborating with our partners to explore innovative teaching methods and bring this exciting initiative to life. For more information, visit our website: www.3dsmartbox.net/home.
